Nominated for the 2003 **Professional Excellence Award** is **Allyson Moss, CPA**.

Allyson Moss is an Associate Director at UBS (Bahamas) Ltd. in the Operations International Securities and Cash department with responsibilities for managing the payment operations and deputising the department. In addition, she also undertakes other tasks. For example, she leads the implementation of new releases of the firm’s IT system.

Generally liked and respected for her professionalism and dedication to excellence, Mrs. Moss is described as a valued employee who sets and meets goals without waiting for standards of excellence to be established by others. In fact, she claims that the key to success is settling for nothing less than perfectionism.

This Manager strives to keep abreast of issues relating to the financial services industry and ensures that she attends some of the continued education seminars offered locally. She is also keen to expand her knowledge of the industry and at the moment is enrolled in the Series 7 course. Mrs. Moss is credited with high organisational skills, which when combined with her understanding of the organisation’s structure ensures for effective job performance and goal achievement.

When asked about her overall attitude to client servicing, Mrs. Moss says, *”Clients have every right to expect excellence and it must be readily given to them as the norm, and not the exception. As Bahamians we must accept that to be first world, we must first offer first class service.”*

Selection of the winner in each category will be made by a Blue Ribbon Panel, with the winners announced and recognised at the Annual Awards Banquet on October 4, at the Radisson Cable Beach Resort.
