According to a release from the OECD, top of the agenda will be tax transparency and steps to ensure a worldwide level playing field. Also at the meeting, the Forum will publish a number of Peer Review Reports.
**Global Forum**
The Global Forum is the world’s largest network for international cooperation in the field of taxation and financial information exchange, bringing together 137 countries and jurisdictions plus the European Union. The Forum’s 9th meeting will bring together more than 200 delegates for discussions on new steps to accelerate international cooperation against tax evasion.
It is the continuation of a forum which was created in the early 2000s in the context of the OECD’s work to address the risks to tax compliance posed by non-cooperative jurisdictions. The original members of the Global Forum consisted of OECD countries and jurisdictions that had agreed to implement transparency and exchange of information for tax purposes. The Global Forum was restructured in September 2009 in response to the G20 call to strengthen implementation of these standards.
