The Bahamas Financial Services Board (BFSB) and The Association of International Bank & Trust Companies (AIBT) paid a courtesy call on Senator the Honourable Allyson Maynard-Gibson, Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs, at The Office of the Attorney General on Wednesday, August 17, 2016.
The visit was a continuation of ongoing public/private sector dialogue with respect to the key priorities for the financial services industry, including the strategy for the implementation of Automatic Exchange of Information/Common Report Standard (CRS).
The commitment to public-private sector collaboration in order to meet our international commitment to implement CRS by 2018 was restated and the Honourable Attorney General assured industry stakeholders that her technical team would actively engage and collaborate with industry stakeholders with regard to this important initiative.
