The Central Bank of The Bahamas today announced the “Go Live” for its Online Reporting and Information Management System (ORIMS) project. Critical details/dates integral to this event can be found here – [ORIMS Go-Live](http://www.centralbankbahamas.com/download/095186600.pdf).
In its quarterly newsletter to licensees, the Regulator had noted that it continues to make progress on a number of strategic activities important to the ongoing supervision and regulation of licensees. In the area of prudential reporting, the Central Bank said it remained on target to have licensees upload regulatory returns to the Central Bank’s new Online Reporting Information Management System (ORIMS) portal. In preparation for the launch of the ORIMS platform, the Bank is requiring licensees to submit information – including the names and email addresses of the respective Financial Reporting Officers, and their backups, responsible for ensuring timely and
accurate filing of the regulatory returns. The usual sign-off attestation will be a continuing requirement, and can be emailed, as per the current practice.
Amendments to the Guidance Notes for the Completion of the Excel Reporting System (ERS) and the revised ERS forms will be advised to licensees.
