The 14th Financial Services Industry Excellence Awards Gala Dinner has been scheduled for November 14, 2014.
This annual Awards Programme recognises the industry’s most important asset – “people power”. The initiative was launched in 2001 in collaboration with the Professional Industry Associations – who continue to be cosponsors – and is designed to profile role models in our industry for their outstanding performance and contribution to the growth and development of the industry here in The Bahamas. Importantly, the programme acknowledges the importance of quality human resources for the success and, indeed, the sustainability of the financial services sector.
As in previous years, awardees will be chosen for (1) Executive of the Year – CEO level; (2) Professional of the Year – Any level of Management or Supervision; (3) Achiever of the Year – Junior and Support levels; (4) Mentor of the Year; and (5) Financial Services Development and Promotion.
CEO Aliya Allen announced today that nominations are opened — in all categories.
The Hon. L. Ryan Pinder, Minister of Financial Services also will present a special “Minister’s Award” as an integral part of the annual initiative – *”recognising excellence in all of its aspects.”* And, BFSB’s Board of Directors has decided to present a Lifetime “Achievement Award this year; details on the 2014 LAA Recipient will be announced in the fall.
The Gala Dinner provides an excellent opportunity to recognise the accomplishments of a diverse group of professionals that contribute to the financial services industry of The Bahamas on a daily basis. The evening also provides an opportunity to celebrate the industry and network with industry colleagues.
