The [Bahamas Institute of Chartered Accountants](http://www.bica.bs) (BICA) has announce that Zelma Wilson (1st Vice President of BICA) and Jasmine Davis (President of BICA) have been elected as Director and Alternate Director, respectively, to serve on the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Caribbean (ICAC) Board of Directors for the 2012/2013 term. The elections were held during ICAC’s 63rd Board of Directors Meeting held in St John’s Antigua.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Caribbean (ICAC) is the recognised regional organization dedicated to advancing the interest of accountants and professionals in the finance and accounting sector within the Caribbean through the promotion of internationally acceptable standards and best practices, thought leadership, research and continuing professional education. ICAC comprises seven member bodies (national accountancy institutes of Barbados, Bahamas, Jamaica Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Belize, Eastern Caribbean) and associate member (Suriname) with a network of approximately 3,500 accountancy professionals in the region.

BICA is the regulatory body for the accounting profession in the Bahamas and has more than 500 members and over 300 licensees.
