The Isle of Man’s representative at OECD and EU forums will participate in the Regulation and Transparency Plenary Session at the upcoming [International Business & Finance Summit](http://www.ibfs-bahamas.com), being hosted by the Bahamas Financial Services Board at Radisson Our Lucaya in Grand Bahama. Malcolm Couch, Assessor of Income Tax of the Isle of Man, will speak to the agenda of the various global bodies focused on Regulation and Transparency. In addition to representing the Isle of Man at OECD and EU forums, Mr. Couch is involved in negotiating tax co-operation agreements.
Rowena Bethel, Legal Advisor at the Bahamas Ministry of Finance, who holds a similar representative role for The Bahamas, will join Couch at this session, updating Summit participants on key areas in global regulation and transparency that will influence private sector development going forward.
The Regulation and Transparency Panel also will explore how the objectives of the G20/OECD economies are aligned with the priorities of the emerging economies. In this connection, Dr. Harvey Z. Chen, Chairman and CEO of First Light Academy of Finance and Management, an executive and professional education institution based in Shanghai, China, will talk about his research findings about the HNWIs in China, and their views about investing globally. Dr. Eduardo Gamarra, Professor in the Department of Politics and International Relations in the School of International and Public Affairs at Florida International University, will address similar topics – from the Latin American perspective.
