**Caroline Garnham**
**Caroline Garnham**, Partner, **Lawrence Graham (LG)**, the winner of the STEP Private Client Team award in 2008, will share draft legislation that she and her colleagues have proposed on Executive Foundations during a workshop on International Tax Planning which takes place Thursday February 26 following the two day ***Private Banking World*** 2009 Conference. The draft legislation is designed to provide The Bahamas a significant advantage over other jurisdictions engaged in wealth preservation structures.
She will be joined for the day-long workshop by top US private client lawyer Basil Zirinis from Sullivan and Cromwell in New York.
In the morning Garnham and Zinnis will talk about the current market for private client issues, US tax changes and the recent move taken by the Canton of Zurich in Switzerland to repeal the forfait system of taxation for foreigners. This will dramatically increase the taxation payable for all Swiss foreign residents of Zurich like Tina Turner.
During the afternoon, they will ask workshop participants to work on a case study which is based on a real case on which they have been working together.
Ms. Garnham is founder of the web site www.familybhive.com, winner of the Wealth Management Innovation of the Year Award 2008. She writes a regular column for WMS Spears for which she has been nominated columnist of the year 2009.
