**Tropical Storm Hanna** is moving through the southeastern Bahamas.

A “hurricane warning” has been posted by the Bahamas Department of Meteorology for the Northwest Bahamas, including the islands of New Providence, Grand Bahama, Abaco, Eleuthera, Andros, Bimini and the Berry Islands. A hurricane warning means that hurricane conditions could be felt in the alert area within 24 hours.

BFSB notes that The Bahamas has a very strong history of response to tropical weather systems due to the high standard of construction and the preparedness of government agencies and utility companies. Business Continuity Planning (BCP) directives as supervised by relevant regulators ensure limited disruption of business within the industry.
