Bank of The Bahamas International has opened a full-service branch on Cat Island.

Now with branches on seven islands including Cat Island, BOBI is actively looking at several islands to build on its presence. Paul McWeeney, Bank Managing Director, says last Thursday opening was a great step in the commercial bank’s expansion. *”Our focus will be spreading Bank of The Bahamas throughout the archipelago,”* he said.

Commenting on the opening, Charles King, Government Administrator for Cat Island, says *”Now that Bank of The Bahamas is open, I see empowerment for our people, I see us moving forward, moving in the right direction, and moving upward as far as the development of the island is concerned. I’m so happy to see that what we dreamed of is a reality today.”* Philip Davis, Member of Parliament, added that it could not be denied it was a great day for Cat Island, *”and we all share in the pride of this milestone.”*

Bank of The Bahamas International operates from 12 locations throughout The Bahamas including New Providence, Grand Bahama, Andros, Inagua, San Salvador, and now Cat Island.
