**Butterfield Bank** has been named the “Best Bank in Bermuda” for a second straight year by **Euromoney**, one of the world’s leading financial publications.
Alan Thompson, Butterfield Bank’s President & Chief Executive Officer, says the first time Butterfield Bank won this prestigious awards was in 2006 – the inaugural year the honour was available in Bermuda.

In May, Butterfield Bank received the ‘Deal of the Year 2007’ award for Bermuda from **The Banker** magazine, a Financial Times publication. Butterfield received the award for its role as sole underwriter and issue sponsor of a rights offering of 2.5 million common shares of Bermuda Aviation Services (“BAS”). Rights were issued to BAS shareholders in February 2006 in a deal valued at BMD 15.8 million.
