**Adams Sacks**, Managing Director of **Oxford Economics** and Tourism Economics, a subsidiary company, will be one of the featured presenters at the upcoming 2007 Bahamas Financial Services Retreat. He will speak to the study that the Bahamas Financial Services Board has commissioned to assess the economic importance of financial services and its associated activities in The Bahamas. BFSB CEO Wendy Warren has said the research project will provide empirical data on the long-standing and significant socio-economic contribution of financial services to the Bahamian economy.

The 2007 Bahamas Financial Services Retreat will be held January 19-21 at the Four Seasons at Emerald Bay resort in Exuma. Already, more than 100 senior Government officials, regulators and a wide cross section of industry representatives have registered for the event. Strategic development of the sector is the underlying objective of the Retreat and is reflected in the planned sessions, such as the Opening Plenaries on Trade Protocols, Strategy Development, FSI Ministerial Portfolio Presentations; and with Breakout Sessions covering issues such as Jurisdiction Branding, Manpower Assessment, Regulation & Compliance, Private Wealth Management and Capital Markets.

Formerly a Managing Director of Global Insight’s Travel and Tourism practice, Mr. Sacks has conducted and managed millions of dollars of consulting projects over the past decade with a particular focus on analysis in The Bahamas. He has conducted extensive analysis of international trade in services (including financial services) and has developed a proprietary global analysis of trade in services covering over 100 countries.

Mr. Sacks has consulted with multi-national hotel chains, airlines, aircraft manufacturers, theme parks, resort developers, and retail operators to measure current and future market opportunities. He has presented to numerous corporate strategic planning teams on the threats and opportunities facing their businesses within the projected travel and economic climate.

Mr. Sacks has presented at the TIA Marketing Outlook Forum, NYU Hotel Investment Conference, OECD Conference on Tourism Statistics, Cultural and Heritage Tourism Summit, Travel Business Roundtable, Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Investment Conference, ITB Berlin, ARDA, The World Bank, Transportation Research Board Annual Conference, and Travel & Tourism Research Association. He has also presented economic impact results to governments around the world.
