Scotiabank’s President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Rick Waugh, recently made a courtesy call on Prime Minister Perry Christie. He was joined by Minna A. Israel, Managing Director of Scotiabank (Bahamas) Ltd.

Scotiabank is celebrating 50 years of banking in The Bahamas. It operates 20 branches across six major islands and offers diverse products and services to its customers.

Last month, Scotiabank Bahamas launched its $10 million “SME Fund”, offering reduced interest rates and fees on loans to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs). Managing Director Ms. Israel says the institution is committed to introducing a number of programmes that help grow the economy as the health and vitality of Scotia is closely tied to the well being of the communities it serves.
