FirstCaribbean International Bank has introduced its programme for honours degree university students interested in careers in the financial arena.
**CareerFirst** is a highly structured, quick-paced training programme providing excellent grounding in banking and financial services. FirstCaribbean says **CareerFirst** provides management experience for banking or any business sector.
Applicants must be Caribbean nationals between 20-25 years old, living in a country with a FirstCaribbean presence – and willing to travel. The application form can be downloaded from the bank’s web site.
FirstCaribbean’s knowledge of banking has been gained through a combined experience of almost 250 years in the Caribbean through its heritage organisations, Barclays PLC and CIBC. The face of banking is changing throughout the world and FirstCaribbean says it intends to lead these changes in the Caribbean with the expertise, integrity and knowledge of banking that this experience brings.
By combining these two solid, long-established banks, FirstCaribbean has one of the largest capital bases of any Caribbean bank, providing a bank with the resources to invest in the future. With over 3,400 employees, more than 100 branches and 120 automatic banking machines in 16 countries, FirstCaribbean International Bank is one of the largest financial institutions in the region. In The Bahamas, it operates as **FirstCaribbean International Bank (Bahamas) Ltd.**
