More than 135 delegates attended The Nassau Conference 2005 which featured a broad range of topical presentations and dynamic international and local speakers.
The Conference drew heavily from the local financial services industry, but was also attended by a number of international delegates, attracted to the event to hear:

* Richard Hay, Stikeman Elliott LLP, discuss Tax issues;
* Katie Booth, Rothschild Trust Corporation, review Client Lifecycles;
* Philip Marcovici, Baker & McKenzie, address Jurisdiction Models;
* Barry Rider, Beachcroft Wansbroughs, cover Risk Management;
* Jeffrey Everett, Templeton Global Advisors Ltd., discuss Investment Strategies;
* Michael Foot, Central Bank of The Bahamas, address Regulation;
* Robert Lawrence, Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft LLP, review Client Structures;
* Sean McWeeney, Graham Thompson & Co., provide a conference wrap-up.
Several speakers also made presentations to students at the College of The Bahamas, following the conclusion of the Conference.

Conference Chairman Andrew Law said feedback from delegates on the inaugural event was very positive. *"Our speakers and their presentations received very high marks,"* he said.* "They did an outstanding job. Nonetheless, we plan to make The Nassau Conference 2006 even bigger and better."*
Initial planning is now underway for The Nassau Conference 2006.
