The second Bahamas Financial Services Retreat will be held January 28 -30th 2005 at the Great Exuma at Emerald Bay, a Four Seasons Resort.
The Retreat is designed to bring together stakeholders from the government, regulators and private sector for intense discussions of key drivers of the financial service industry. The primary objective of such interaction is to formulate strategies for the growth of financial services in The Bahamas, while also providing opportunities for networking.
The Retreat will involve 1 ½ days of working sessions on the Friday and Saturday and a day of golf or bone fishing on the Sunday.
Bruce Weatherill, Global Leader-Private Banking Practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers, will open the Retreat with a presentation on **"A Market Analysis of Financial Services"**. He is author of the PwC Global Wealth Survey. (See link below)
Following will be small group breakout sessions, in which participants will move between workshops covering:

* **Financial Services Consultative Forum (FSCF) Immigration Report: Analysis & The Way Forward** led by Brian Moree, FSCF Chairman
* **Achieving Maximum Results in External & Internal Business Communications** led by Bonnie L. Nguyen, FirstCaribbean International Bank (Bahamas) Ltd.
A presentation on **Global Regulatory Developments** will be led by Rowena Bethel from the Ministry of Finance and Michael Foot from the Central Bank of The Bahamas.
Bahamian Prime Minister The Hon. Perry G. Christie has been invited to a **Government Panel** discussion which will also include The Hon. Allyson Maynard-Gibson, Minister of Financial Services and Investments and Sen. The Hon. James Smith, Minister of State for Finance.
